The W3C Office in Germany and Austria is situated at the Faculty of Information Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. The faculty is engaging in the topics of archives, libraries and documentation. For the faculty, Web technology has become a mandatory part of these three areas, both in teaching curricula and external activities. These activities encompass projects with the industry in the region, collaborations with library and archive institutions across the country, and work with research and governmental institutions which are concentrated in the area of Berlin.
